Cardiovascular Surgical Technologist Opportunity

About the Role:

SSM Health is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our Cardiovascular Operating Room team. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of surgical procedures, providing exceptional patient care, and maintaining a safe and efficient operating room environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring the proper handling of instruments and equipment.
  • Prepare and maintain operating room equipment, supplies, and instruments, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow.
  • Provide exceptional patient care, addressing their needs and concerns in a compassionate and professional manner.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques and technologies.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or certification in Surgical Technology preferred.
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in a surgical setting, with a focus on cardiovascular surgery.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
