Job Title: Automation Technician

We are seeking a skilled Automation Technician to join our team at Bonduelle Fresh Americas. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment using electronic field devices, PLC, and controls.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with safety and food safety guidelines
  • Troubleshoot, service, and fix computerized systems and automated devices
  • Perform routine diagnostic checks on automated systems
  • Monitor automated systems, isolate problems, and perform repairs
  • Drive continuous improvement on the performance of assets and controls
  • Analyze needs and product requirements to create program designs
  • Provide feedback on new capital projects to align with current controls and automation
  • Assist with integration and automation of new equipment in the plant
  • Develop new automation processes
  • Conduct continuous improvement studies through automation design, cost-benefit analysis, and maintenance
  • Assist in training employees with complex machine centers
  • This position must be able to backfill maintenance, supervisory, and facilities duties in the event of a need.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Physically able to repeatedly lift 40-pound cases of product
  • University, college robotic/engineering technology, or five years related experience in manufacturing with training in PLC programming
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with other departments and with external suppliers
  • Proficient in Ladder and Block Logic
  • Experience with CMMS systems
  • Basic computer operations and Microsoft Office and Google Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Sheets, Docs, Gmail)
