Position Overview
Primrose Retirement Communities is seeking a dedicated Certified Medication Technician/Aide/QMAP/QMA to ensure the safe administration of prescribed medications to our residents, adhering to all relevant state regulations and company policies. This role involves providing essential support to residents, which may encompass personal care, assistance with daily living activities, housekeeping, laundry services, social and recreational engagement, meal preparation, and other assigned responsibilities within the community.
The Medication Technician plays a vital role in collaborating with the nursing department, various other departments, healthcare professionals, consultants, residents, and their families, all while promoting an efficient and cost-effective environment that enables each resident to achieve or maintain optimal physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Qualifications We Seek:
- Previous experience in a long-term care or assisted living setting is preferred.
- Valid certification as a Medication Aide or Assistant or Qualified Medication Administration Person in accordance with state regulations.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification as required by state regulations.
- Participation in in-service training as assigned and maintenance of continuing education hours if necessary for certification.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with Alzheimer's Disease, other forms of dementia, and related memory challenges is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Basic proficiency in computer software and applications.
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends and holidays on a rotating schedule.
