GEOSPATIAL SURVEY SPECIALIST

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is in search of a Geospatial Survey Specialist to enhance our team.

This role will support Registered Professional Surveyors in various tasks including CAD drafting, property research, boundary evaluations, easement documentation, legal descriptions, and calculating survey coordinates.


Key Responsibilities:
Supporting Registered Professional Surveyors with CAD drafting, property research, boundary evaluations, easement documentation, legal descriptions, and calculating survey coordinates.

Processing field data using Trimble Business Center and Civil 3D software.

Conducting quality assurance and quality control checks.

Collaborating with field teams and other office personnel.

Ensuring adherence to division, regional, and corporate values, policies, and practices within the surveying department.

Leading by example – demonstrating sound judgment, integrity, trustworthiness, transparency, and professionalism.

Essential Skills:
Excellent listening, writing, and verbal communication abilities.

Familiarity with ALTA surveys, boundary evaluations, topographic surveys, easement documentation, legal descriptions, final plat preparation, and construction staking.

Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center for production tasks.

Capability to manage multiple assignments, facilitate project coordination, and collaborate with other design teams.

Full proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Able to thrive in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
An Associate Degree in Surveying, Engineering Technology, or a related field.

SIT Certification.

Experience in Land Development, both Commercial and Residential, as well as Public Infrastructure Projects.

Coordinating tasks with office staff, including surveying technicians and engineering teams.

Experience in locating and recovering Public Land Survey System monuments.

Willingness to travel and stay on project sites or other Westwood offices for extended durations.

Experience in processing and drafting with LiDAR point clouds and imagery.

Familiarity with TBC Scanning Module is preferred.

Experience with MicroStation is advantageous.

Ability to operate survey field equipment is a plus.

Possession of FAA Part 107 UAS License is desirable.

Compensation Range:
Minimum: USD $20.00/Hr.

Maximum: USD $30.00/Hr.
