Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

Provide courteous responses to incoming calls and assist customers who visit in person.

Utilize the ADDS E3 system for managing customer accounts, establishing new accounts, and updating customer records.

Conduct various clerical tasks related to inventory management, accounts payable and receivable, data entry, price adjustments, payment processing, and bank transactions.

Acquire comprehensive knowledge of all departments, products, services, and delivery timelines.

Actively engage in annual market goals, promotional initiatives, and contests.

Support colleagues by cross-training within the department and providing assistance as required.

Perform additional office tasks such as filing, photocopying, and document shredding.

Assist with special projects and other job-related responsibilities as assigned.

Educational Background:

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Experience:

At least one year of prior customer service experience, including computer-related tasks, is preferred.

Tools and Equipment:

Calculator, telephone, computer terminal, copier.

Decision-Making:

This role serves as a trusted advisor to assist customers, resolving issues related to delivery or billing. If a customer's dissatisfaction continues, they will be referred to the appropriate department head for further resolution.

Safety Considerations:

The primary safety concern pertains to maintaining proper ergonomics while working at a video display terminal.

Interpersonal Contacts:

This position frequently interacts with customers over the phone and in person, necessitating excellent customer relations skills. The Customer Service Representative also collaborates with other employees and engages with various departments.

Work Environment:

The work setting is primarily an office environment, with a faster pace during peak seasons.

Physical Requirements:

This position involves frequent sitting and occasional standing.

Regular use of fingers for writing, data entry, and handling paperwork is required.

Frequent communication, both verbal and auditory, is necessary in person and over the phone.

Weight Handling:

There is rarely a requirement to lift or move objects weighing more than 10 pounds.
