Job Overview

Position Summary: Under minimal oversight, delivers a comprehensive array of social services to clients and their families. Client Support

  • All staff are responsible for ensuring that the individuals served through our programs receive services tailored to their unique needs.
  • Meets established productivity standards regarding direct service time.

Education & Experience Requirements: A minimum of five years of full-time (or equivalent part-time) experience in social services delivery (case management, outreach, prevention/education, etc.) or completion of 90 quarter hours (or its semester equivalent) of college coursework, including 15 quarter hours (or its semester equivalent) in social work, psychology, mental health, nursing, education, sociology, criminal justice, counseling, rehabilitation counseling, guidance counseling, or a related field, along with four years of full-time (or equivalent part-time) experience in social services delivery. Alternatively, a bachelor's degree in one of the specified coursework areas with one year of full-time (or equivalent part-time) experience in social services delivery, or a master's degree in one of the specified coursework areas, or two years of full-time (or equivalent part-time) experience as a Senior Social Services Technician.

Work Environment: This position operates in various business settings, including community outings. The role typically utilizes standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. The position provides essential employment support and may require performance in diverse environments, both indoors and outdoors. Some travel between Gateway sites and within the community is necessary.

Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. The employee is frequently required to walk, sit, stand, or kneel, and occasionally required to climb, balance, or stoop. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and must have the ability to sit for extended periods at a computer. The employee regularly uses fine hand/eye coordination, hearing, and visual acuity. The work environment is adequately lit and temperature-controlled, with no hazardous conditions caused by noise or dust. The employee must be able to travel between Gateway sites.
