  • Establish shipping and lifting specifications for equipment ranging from 5 to 500 metric tons.
  • Review vendor drawings, specifications, and shop drawings, providing technical recommendations.
  • Adhere to established standards including AISC, ASCE, IBC, and ACI.
  • Engage in departmental training programs and online learning opportunities.
  • Ensure project timelines and budgetary constraints are met.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team, demonstrating strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Address technical project challenges, offering quality solutions.
  • Develop layouts, structural plans, elevation views, and detailed drawings from a 3D BIM model.
  • Utilize AutoCAD, CADWorx, and BricsCAD software to produce 2D structural drawings for design approval and fabrication.
  • Employ various drafting techniques to create 2D drawings while operating within a 3D design model environment.
  • Generate detailed structural concrete and steel installation drawings for diverse industrial construction projects.
  • Prepare structural component drawings and their connections to steel and other materials, following company standards.
  • Review and modify structural drawings based on feedback from engineering teams.
  • Ensure all drawings receive the necessary approvals prior to release.
  • Demonstrate self-management skills to effectively meet deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Proficient in CADWorx or AutoCAD for 3D modeling and detailed structural drawing creation.
  • Experience with Autodesk Robot, Tekla, and other industry-standard structural design software.
  • Familiarity with Hilti design software and RAM Connection software is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of cryogenic piping, cold boxes, and the industrial gases sector is beneficial.
  • Understanding of pipe stress analysis and support systems.
  • Comprehension of foundation design and loading principles.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the industrial or chemical sectors.
  • Ability to read and interpret structural steel and civil engineering drawings.
  • Familiarity with structural concrete and steel design detailing standards.
  • Working knowledge of civil and structural industrial projects.
  • Experience managing revisions for structural and civil drawings.
