Job Title: Part-time Leasing Consultant

At University Partners, we are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Part-time Leasing Consultant to join our team. As a Leasing Consultant, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional service to our residents, prospects, and visitors, while effectively leasing apartments and promoting our community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide outstanding customer service to all residents, prospects, and visitors, ensuring a positive experience and building strong relationships.
  • Effectively lease apartments in accordance with occupancy goals, utilizing strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Follow Fair Housing Standards in all dealings with prospects and residents, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct outside marketing activities under the direction of the Assistant Manager and Community Manager, promoting our community and attracting new residents.
  • Review applications, verify credit and income information, and conduct background checks, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Complete lease paperwork and files, including all necessary documentation and signatures.
  • Ensure the condition of leased apartments prior to move-in, conducting thorough inspections and addressing any issues.
  • Follow up with residents throughout their lease terms, promoting annual renewal campaigns and managing lease renewals.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly tasks, including opening and closing procedures, signage inspections, and leasing office maintenance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred; or High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word and Excel, with experience in Entrata preferred.
  • Excellent customer service, sales, and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, prospects, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work weekends or overtime as job requires, with a flexible schedule and willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
Working Environment and Physical Demands:

This role requires working in an office environment, with occasional outdoor activities and exposure to changing weather conditions. The physical demands of this role include walking, sitting, standing, climbing or balancing, lifting under 10 lbs, reaching with hands and arms, and stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling.
