Responsibilities & RequirementsUnder the supervision of the provider and/or practice manager, this role assists in delivering patient care duties and provides administrative support throughout the practice. Key responsibilities include interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, and recording information in patients' charts. The position will be cross-trained to enhance efficiency and continuity of patient care.
Education Requirements:
- MA/CMA: Within 15 months from date of hire, continued employment will require successful attainment and retention of one of the following certifications: CCMA, CMA (AAMA), NCMA, RMA (through AMT), or RMA (through ARMA). Additionally, completion of a Medical Assisting program through an accredited institution of higher learning is required.
- LPN: Graduate of an accredited LPN program with current Ohio licensure.
Job Requirements:
- Basic Life Support certification is required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
- Able to work under time constraints, multitask, and work autonomously with minimal direction.
- Must maintain confidentiality and follow directions.
- 1-year clinical experience in a medical/physician office setting is preferred.
- Practical knowledge in examination processes, diagnostic and treatment room procedures, medical equipment, and safety precautions is preferred.
- Experience with electronic medical records is also preferred.
