Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Laundry Support Specialist to join our team at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Columbia, SC. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in our hotel's linens and textiles.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and ironing machines.
  • Sort, wash, dry, press, and fold laundry to a high standard.
  • Remove stains from items using appropriate procedures.
  • Perform minor sewing duties as required.
  • Keep accurate records of which items belong to guests.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized laundry area.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in a similar role is preferable.
  • Familiarity with cleaning detergents and laundering equipment.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 20 pounds unaided.
  • Basic arithmetic skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Available to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Estimated Salary: $28,000 - $38,000 per annum, depending on experience.
