About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Medical Billing Manager III to oversee our medical billing operations at FinThrive. This role involves managing a team of billers, analyzing financial data, and implementing process improvements to optimize revenue cycles.

About the Role

In this position, you will be responsible for managing a team of billers, analyzing financial data to identify areas for improvement, and implementing process changes to optimize revenue cycles. You will also be involved in providing training and guidance to junior team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Responsibilities

* Manage a team of billers, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance
* Analyze financial data to identify areas for improvement and implement process changes to optimize revenue cycles
* Collaborate with leadership to drive business results and identify areas for improvement
* Provide training and guidance to junior team members to enhance their skills and knowledge

Requirements

* 5+ years Hospital Billing experience with follow-up experience, including advanced knowledge of all pay types
* Knowledge of Medicare payer rules, processes, including interpreting denial reasons, submitting appeals to Medicare payer, and accessing Medicare portals
* Ability to use Medicare Direct Data Entry (DDE) to submit claim corrections, adjustments, and inquiries as needed
* Detailed understanding of insurance follow-up (i.e., resolving non-paid, denied, under-paid, and rejected claims) for healthcare providers
* Experience in UB04 Facility Pricing and Reimbursement variance
* Good understanding of revenue cycle
* Basic understanding of HIT systems like EPIC, Paragon, Zirmed, or other billing systems
* Problem-solving/superior analytical skills
* Organized and detail-oriented aptitude
