Overview

The Edwards Consulting Group is seeking a skilled Clinical Data Entry Expert to join their team. This role involves working with our Practice Administrator to ensure the smooth operation of day-to-day clerical tasks.

Salary and Benefits

We are offering a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k), dental insurance, health insurance, life insurance, paid time off, professional development assistance, retirement plan, and vision insurance.

Job Description

This position would be ideal for someone looking to return to the workforce and work in a family-run medical practice long-term. As a Clinical Data Entry Expert, you will be responsible for helping the Practice Administrator with various tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Prefer individuals from an out-of-network billing background
  • Medical billing background required
  • Multi-trained office staff person for back-office roles, billing and coding, front office, and MA tasks

You will work closely with the Practice Administrator to ensure seamless communication and task completion.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Out-of-network medical billing experience
  • Medical billing certification from an accredited program
  • Current certification from the state of Texas
  • Strong attention to detail and resourcefulness
  • Pleasant and friendly demeanor with a well-groomed appearance
  • English skills (written and spoken) without a detectable accent
  • Flexibility to fill roles in patient intake, office operations, and billing for a low-volume office
  • Ability to manage the intake process for in-office patients and remote visits
  • Highly organized and computer literate in basic operating systems, Microsoft Office, electronic fax, EMR, Excel, Google Drive, Google Docs, multi-phone lines business phone, Availity, payor access portals, Optum, TriZetto

Preferred Qualifications

It's preferred that you have:

  • Seasoned, mature, and stable individual with work experience in medicine
  • Availability and willingness to maintain a consistent work schedule

Schedule and Location

This position is available Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend schedules. You will work in a quiet and well-maintained office environment.

Education and Experience

We require:

  • Bachelor's degree (preferred)
  • Microsoft Office experience (5 years or more, preferred)
  • Administrative experience (5 years or more, preferred)
