Position Overview

Rite-Solutions, Inc. is in search of a Lead Software Engineer to provide expertise at a prominent defense facility. You will collaborate with a team of specialists dedicated to enhancing capabilities in cyber analysis and development to address the needs of the Navy and Department of Defense for Cyber Situational Awareness, Command and Control, Mission Assurance, and Homeland Defense.

The role encompasses identifying critical cyber assets through operational requirement analysis, conducting comprehensive cyber assessments, and executing modeling and simulation to support various cyber threat scenarios.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing or modifying software applications based on specified requirements.
  • Designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting application features and modifications.
  • Evaluating existing enterprise applications to facilitate new features, performance enhancements, and upgrades.
  • Engaging in performance, load, and stress testing, addressing identified issues.
  • Contributing to security architecture evaluations of large-scale systems.
  • Involved in the complete application lifecycle: requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Supporting successful system utilization through documentation, test scripts, and training material development.
  • Participating in an agile team environment, including sprint planning, retrospectives, reviews, and daily standups.

Essential Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship and active or interim DoD SECRET clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance.
  • DoDD Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level I certification or higher.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and analyzing enterprise-scale applications using technologies such as .NET Core, Angular, JavaScript, C#, and SQL Server.
  • Proficiency with modern development tools including Visual Studio, SQL Server Management Studio, git, and unit testing frameworks.
  • Experience with enterprise applications performing extract/transform/load (ETL) operations with external data sources and SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with distributed version control systems like git and mercurial.
  • Comprehensive understanding of software requirements, design, coding, testing, debugging, and the software development lifecycle.
  • Proficient in at least one Object-oriented programming (OOP) language: C, Java, or Python.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in Agile software development and microservice architecture, particularly in C#, Angular, TypeScript, and SQL Server.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in custom software development projects.
  • Experience collaborating with Department of Defense clients.
  • Experience in cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Additional expertise in technologies such as GitLab, ElasticSearch, CI/CD pipelines, Rabbit MQ, Kubernetes, Docker, and automated testing tools.
  • Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning is a plus.
