Perioperative Support Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Perioperative Support Specialist to join our team at Emerson Hospital. As an integral member of the multidisciplinary perioperative team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the department and various pieces of equipment, stocking supplies, and assisting with patient positioning under the supervision of the anesthesia provider and/or perioperative registered nurse.
Responsibilities
* Maintain a clean and organized environment in the operating room, including equipment and supplies
* Stock and restock supplies as needed
* Assist with patient positioning and transportation
* Troubleshoot and transport equipment and medications under the supervision of the anesthesia provider and/or perioperative registered nurse
Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent preferred
* Previous operating room experience preferred
* Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required or become registered within 9 months of hire
* BLS healthcare provider required or attained within 9 months of hire
