Position Overview

This position presents a unique opportunity to assist our attorneys and other legal professionals through intricate and specialized legal tasks, necessitating a solid grasp of legal terminology and procedures.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the client intake process, conduct adversary searches, draft screening memoranda and engagement letters, and initiate new case files.
  • Draft, revise, and format legal documents and correspondence utilizing various software applications in accordance with provided guidelines. Review documents for accuracy, grammar, language usage, and punctuation, ensuring final versions are saved appropriately.
  • Prepare necessary documents and fees for electronic submissions as required, adhering to specific instructions. File documents electronically with federal and state courts and other relevant agencies.
  • Manage and maintain timekeeper calendars, including critical court deadlines, meetings, depositions, and teleconferences as requested.
  • Provide assistance with various projects, overflow tasks, administrative duties, and other responsibilities to support attorneys and colleagues throughout the firm.
  • Handle administrative responsibilities as needed, including processing and distributing correspondence, preparing responses to audit letters, completing expense reports, and reviewing client billing statements.
  • Exhibit proactive support for the team and maintain a positive, collaborative approach in interactions with others.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a legal practice assistant is essential.
  • Experience in litigation is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is crucial.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Capability to follow instructions provided in written, oral, or diagrammatic form. Ability to address problems involving multiple concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively and professionally with clients and personnel at all levels, both via telephone and in person.
  • Excellent organizational skills to prioritize numerous tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Adept at working in a fast-paced environment and shifting focus between tasks efficiently.
  • Capacity to manage confidential information responsibly.

Compensation and Benefits:

Frost Brown Todd offers a competitive salary along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, and a 401k/profit-sharing retirement plan.

The compensation range for this position reflects various factors considered in determining pay, including skill sets, experience, training, and other organizational needs. For applicants based in California, the estimated hourly pay range is $35.00 – $45.00. Actual compensation will be based on skills, relevant experience, and other job-related factors, in accordance with applicable employment laws.
