Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and patient Caregiver to join our team at Sevita. As a Caregiver, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will provide support and assistance with daily living activities, help individuals develop real-life skills, and promote their independence and well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household chores
  • Help individuals develop real-life skills, such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition
  • Support individuals with behavioral challenges and other complex needs
  • Document and report on individual progress and needs
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (not required)
  • Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination (preferred)
  • Valid Driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
