CAD Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CAD Manager to join our dynamic team at Derby Dental Laboratory Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer-aided design (CAD) within the dental industry, along with excellent leadership and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Workflow Management: Oversee daily operations within the CAD department to ensure timely and efficient project completion. Implement and optimize workflow processes to enhance productivity and reduce turnaround times.
  • Design Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor the design team, providing guidance on best practices and innovative design solutions. Collaborate with team members to develop and refine dental prosthetic designs, ensuring they meet client specifications and industry standards.
  • Design Quality Control: Lead the design quality control team to establish and maintain quality assurance protocols. Conduct regular reviews of designs and outputs to ensure accuracy, functionality, and aesthetic appeal.
  • Milling Team Oversight: Oversee the milling team, ensuring that all milling operations are executed efficiently and to the highest quality standards. Coordinate with the design team to ensure seamless integration between design and milling processes.
  • Lead Management Accountability: Manage laboratory activities related to CAD operations, including resource allocation, scheduling, and performance tracking. Collaborate with other departments to align CAD activities with overall laboratory goals.
  • 3D Printing Room Management: Oversee the 3D printing room, ensuring that all equipment is maintained and operated safely and effectively. Stay updated on the latest 3D printing technologies and materials, implementing improvements as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in CAD management within a dental laboratory or similar environment.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (3Shape) and 3D printing technologies.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Fluent English communication, both verbal and written.
