Phoenix Hiring Manager for Talent Acquisition and Operations
Job Summary: The Human Resources Director at Specialized Recruiting Group in Phoenix, AZ is responsible for leading the People Operations Department in a fast-growing, mission-driven organization. About the Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced Director of Human Resources to join our dynamic leadership team. As a key member of our executive team, you will serve as a cultural ambassador and lead company-wide efforts in recruiting, hiring, and employee retention. You will partner with multi-state site leaders to address unique workforce needs and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Recruiting & Retention: Develop and implement strategic recruitment plans to attract top talent and improve employee retention rates.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all applicable employment laws and regulations, including those related to equal employment opportunity, fair labor standards, and worker's compensation.
- People Operations Leadership: Oversee a diverse team, including Learning & Development, Benefits Administration, and Talent Acquisition. Provide mentorship and inspire excellence within the team.
- Strategic Collaboration: Collaborate with senior leadership to align HR initiatives with organizational goals and strategy.
- HR Administration: Manage all facets of People Operations, including performance management, benefits/leave administration, compensation, and employee relations. Lead investigations, coaching, and office administration.
- Employee Engagement: Foster a culture of positive engagement and collaboration. Lead efforts to measure and improve employee satisfaction and promote engagement in daily operations.
- Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion: Champion initiatives that advance equity, diversity, and inclusion across the company.
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Leadership Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience leading HR in a multi-state organization.
- Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Problem-Solving Ability: Proven ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems, and manage projects to successful completion.
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in HRIS, ATS, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of employment laws and regulations across multiple states.
Compensation and Benefits: The salary range for this position is $131,000 - $150,000 per year, plus a competitive benefits package, including health, dental, and retirement plans. Opportunities for professional growth and development are also available.
