Corporate Counsel Role at Microsoft Corporation

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Counsel to join our team at Microsoft Corporation. As a key member of our Legal and Corporate Affairs department, you will play a critical role in providing legal advice and counsel to our clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients and colleagues on a wide range of matters, including contract negotiation, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance.
  • Identify and mitigate legal risks in our clients' businesses, technologies, and public policies.
  • Collaborate with outside counsel and other service providers to address and resolve project-specific issues.
  • Conduct, review, interpret, and analyze legal information to maintain a basic understanding of legal principles within your primary legal practice area.
  • Monitor business activity to ensure legal compliance policies and standards are followed.
Requirements:
  • Juris Doctorate Degree or Equivalent International Degree.
  • Active license to practice law in a jurisdiction and capable of meeting admission requirements in relevant jurisdiction.
  • 3+ years experience as a practicing attorney.
  • Additional or preferred qualifications include 1+ year(s) experience as an attorney in specialized practice area (e.g., tax, employment, copyright).
Compensation:

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $103,800 - $200,300 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
