Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly qualified microbiologist/immunologist to join our faculty at the Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine. As a member of our academic team, you will play a vital role in educating the next generation of osteopathic physicians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching and Mentoring: Provide instruction in microbiology and immunology to osteopathic medical students, utilizing diverse teaching methods and technologies.
  • Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of our microbiology and immunology curriculum, ensuring it remains current and relevant.
  • Research and Scholarship: Engage in scholarly activities, including research, publication, and presentation, to advance the field of microbiology and immunology.
  • Service and Leadership: Participate in departmental and institutional service, including committee work, and contribute to the growth and development of our academic community.

Requirements:

  • Terminal degree (PhD or equivalent) in microbiology, immunology, or a related field.
  • Proven teaching experience in higher education, medical education, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in instructional design and curriculum mapping.
  • Knowledge of instructional technologies and Learning Management Systems.
  • Track record of scholarly activities, including publication and presentation.
