Government Contracts Specialist

Medical Logistics Services is seeking a highly skilled Government Contracts Specialist to support our team in navigating the complexities of government contracting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough research to identify government contract opportunities that align with our company's capabilities and goals.
  • Develop and submit comprehensive contract proposals and RFP responses that showcase our expertise and value proposition.
  • Manage the contract bidding process, ensuring timely submission of all required documents and maintaining open communication with government agencies and procurement officials.
  • Negotiate contract terms and conditions to achieve favorable outcomes for our company.
  • Monitor contract performance and compliance with government regulations, ensuring seamless execution and minimizing risks.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to government contracts, providing insights and recommendations for future opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in government contracting, with a strong understanding of federal, state, and local government procurement regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and negotiate effectively.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and contract management software, with the ability to adapt to new tools and technologies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering results and exceeding expectations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, or a related field.
  • Certification in government contracting (e.g., CPCM, NCMA), demonstrating expertise and commitment to the field.
  • Experience with specific government contracting programs (e.g., GSA, SBA, VA), with a strong understanding of the associated regulations and requirements.
