Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Winter Operations Crew Member at Catamount Ski Resort LLC. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic team that provides critical support for alpine race events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Course Preparation and Maintenance
    • Install and remove fencing and safety netting as needed to ensure a safe and consistent racing surface.
    • Side-slip and rake the course to maintain a high-quality surface for all racers.
  • Race Area Security and Control
    • Secure race areas and control authorized access to the course to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Repair
    • Maintain and repair racing equipment, radios, and other tools used by racing personnel.
  • Course Inspection and Safety
    • Inspect courses to ensure on-hill safety for athletes and other skiers.
  • Other Tasks
    • Perform other tasks as assigned by the race director to ensure the smooth operation of alpine race events.
Requirements
  • Technical Skiing Background
    • Strong technical skiing background and experience working in alpine racing environments.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively using two-way radios.
    • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively with and around children.
  • Physical Demands
    • Ability to carry up to 50 pounds while skiing.
    • Ability to ski, stand, bend, climb, lift, reach, push, and pull repetitively.
    • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and adapt to climate changes.
  • Availability
    • Frequent evening shifts for after-school practices and races.
    • Frequent weekend and holiday shifts.
    • Availability for weekday afternoons/evening and weekends is a plus.
