We are seeking a highly skilled Audiologist I to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing diagnostic and treatment services for patients with hearing impairments.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive audiologic evaluations, including pure-tone audiometry, immittance audiometry, otoacoustic emissions, and speech audiometry, to identify hearing handicaps and determine the type and degree of hearing impairment or auditory disorder.
- Interpret diagnostic findings and communicate results to patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Provide individual and group therapy for patients with hearing/communication handicaps.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordination.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions and treatment plans.
- Stay current with industry developments and advancements in audiology.
- Graduate or postgraduate degree in Audiology (MA, MS, Au.D., Sc.D., Ph.D.).
- Eligible for New Jersey State License/provisional License in Audiology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
- Previous experience in hearing aid dispensing and pediatric audiology.
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a hospital setting.
- Maintains ASHA CCC-A certification.
- Eligible for or holds Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from American Speech-Language Hearing Association.
- Eligible for or holds NJ State Licensure in Audiology.
