As a key member of our team, you will create and develop innovative planning and design concepts for healthcare projects. Your expertise will support senior planners and architects on large projects, driving design excellence and collaboration.


Responsibilities include:



  • Preparing and coordinating architectural drawings, renderings, specifications, and design assignments to meet project requirements
  • Relating building design concepts to building codes, zoning ordinances, and other external issues
  • Consulting with manufacturers, researching, and proposing materials and products
  • Preparing and creating presentation drawings and/or graphics and assisting in presentations both internally and externally
  • Mentoring and training junior staff on design best practices
  • Assisting in construction administration, including responding to RFIs, preparing sketches and addendums, visiting construction sites, and gathering information for punch lists

Requirements include:



  • A bachelor's degree in Architecture or equivalent
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience
  • LEED AP preferred, with eligibility to take the Architectural Registration Examination within a few years
  • Working knowledge of engineering systems and the ability to engage effectively with professionals in a multi-disciplinary environment
  • On-the-job experience using Revit to produce construction documents
  • High proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign

SmithGroup offers a competitive compensation and benefit package, including a salary range of $77,000 to $94,000 annually, a performance-based bonus, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
