Ambitious Architectural Designer for Multifamily Housing Projects

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and ambitious architectural designer to join our team at OpenScope Studio. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional with strong Revit skills, a familiarity with the California Building Code, and experience on a variety of project types.

The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of experience in a U.S. architecture office (post-graduation) and a proven track record of preparing construction documents using Revit. Experience with multifamily housing and construction administration is highly preferred.

In this role, you will assist with the preparation of program and schematic proposals, project layouts, and design options in 2D and 3D using Revit. You will also participate in day-to-day project management using spreadsheets, Asana, and other digital tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation of program and schematic proposals, project layouts, and design options in 2D and 3D using Revit.
  • Participate in day-to-day project management using spreadsheets, Asana, and other digital tools.
  • Prepare construction drawings for contractors, permit agencies, etc., using Revit.
  • Assist with construction administration and take the lead on construction administration for smaller projects.
  • Make site visits to document existing conditions and communicate them to other staff.
  • Adhere to existing BIM standards.

Requirements:

  • Currently physically located in San Francisco or nearby.
  • 3-6 years of experience in a U.S. architecture office (post-graduation).
  • Experience with preparing construction documents and proficiency with Revit in a professional office environment.
  • Advanced proficiency with Revit, strong written and verbal communication skills, and a professional level of diligence.
  • Familiarity with building code analysis for various project types and comfort with remote work using online collaboration tools.
