Job Description

Revenue Cycle Operations Department:

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced System Director to lead our Revenue Cycle Operations Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving and maintaining properly functioning patient accounting processes throughout our organization, working closely with clinical operations to ensure timely charge capture and edit resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement patient accounting policies and procedures that support our mission, vision, and values, while promoting efforts to improve the financial health of the organization.
  • Achieve annual and periodic goals for key statistical indicators of financial performance, maintain the integrity of financial data and reporting, and facilitate the efficient operation of functions and management of personnel in the patient accounting department.
  • Assist with department goal of achieving a favorable or break-even expense budget variance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare, or a closely related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Five (5) years related experience in a hospital business office, including three (3) years in a Management Director position over Insurance Billing and Collections.
  • Demonstrated experience in utilization of Epic patient billing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of the Revenue Cycle, Patient Financial Services, and Accounts Receivable processes.
  • Superior analytical, project management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with medical, operational, and financial departments.
  • Ability to communicate and present financial and operational analysis concepts to management and staff.

Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service and communication. The successful candidate will be required to work on site in the beginning, with some flexibility to work remotely.

Reporting Relationships:

This position reports to the Vice President, Revenue Cycle, and has direct management responsibility for RN Denial Specialists, HB Manager Billing, HB Manager Collections and Denials, HB Project Manager, and HB Data Analyst.
