Job Summary

As a Traffic Control Technician 1 at RoadSafe Traffic Systems, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our workers and the public by maintaining a safe work zone. This involves setting up and removing temporary cones, signs, and safety barriers to divert traffic and holding up signs to direct traffic flow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Project Operations: Collaborate with project teams to create a safe work environment, including flagging as needed to divert traffic.
  • Set Up and Remove Traffic Control Devices: Install and remove signs, cones, and safety barriers to redirect traffic and ensure a safe work zone.
  • Adhere to Safety Protocols: Follow all safety rules and regulations, wearing proper safety equipment, including work boots, hard hat, and safety vest.
  • Communicate Effectively: Interact with contractor employees, coworkers, and supervisors to manage truck inventory, job site materials, and paperwork.
  • Perform Other Duties: Complete daily paperwork accurately, work well in a team environment, and provide exceptional customer service to all customers.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
  • Regular Exposure to Outdoor Conditions: Work in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, and be exposed to moving equipment, machinery parts, and fumes.
  • Dealing with the Public: Effectively interact with the traveling public to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Noisy Work Environment: Regularly work in a moderate to loud noise environment.
  • Physical Demands: Stand, walk, and reach for up to 14 hours a day, occasionally lifting and moving objects over 50 pounds.
Requirements
  • Pass a Drug Test: Meet the company's drug testing requirements.
  • Flagger Certification: Participate in and pass the Company Sponsored Flagger Certification program.
  • Excellent Attendance and Dependability: Demonstrate a strong work ethic, excellent attendance, and reliable transportation.
  • TCT Training Certification: Complete the required TCT Training Certification within two months of hire date.
