Job Summary:
Cone Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ambulatory Pharmacy Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a critical role in providing safe, efficient, and cost-effective services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compound and prepare hazardous and non-hazardous IV medications, ensuring accuracy and quality control.
- Document all tasks and activities in our electronic system, including daily and weekly cleaning and maintenance.
- Assist pharmacists in medication preparation, labeling, and organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain inventory levels, ordering and receiving drugs and supplies as needed.
- Develop and implement process improvements and quality initiatives to enhance departmental performance.
- Serve as a mentor and trainer for new employees, providing guidance and support to ensure successful onboarding.
- Perform other duties as reasonably required or assigned by management.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 5 years of experience in a pharmacy setting, with a focus on ambulatory care.
- Pharmacy Technician certification through PTCB or NHA, with registration with the NC Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire.
