Job Summary

The Goddard School of Rochester Hills, MI is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as the Assistant Vice President of Student Life and Development. This key leadership role will be responsible for overseeing daily Student Life operations, supervising staff, and coordinating programs and services to support student success and engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Vice President to develop and implement strategic plans to enhance student life and engagement
  • Supervise and mentor staff to ensure effective delivery of programs and services
  • Coordinate crisis response and support services for students
  • Develop and manage budgets to support student life initiatives
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to promote student success and retention
  • Serve as a Deputy Title IX Coordinator and coordinate investigations and training
  • Facilitate prevention and awareness training for students
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a field related to student personnel, higher education, or counseling
  • Minimum of 7 years of professional experience with extensive supervisory experience
  • Strong knowledge of student development theory and best practices in student affairs
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Clery Act, VAWA, Campus Save Act, Title IX, and NaBITA standards
  • Experience with budget management and financial planning
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
