The Sports Product Management program is designed to deliver Master’s degrees through both a Portland-based 18-month track and a 21-month Online option. This program uniquely connects students with the sports industry, facilitated by leading professionals who impart knowledge through hands-on learning experiences focused on innovation, sustainability, and a global business outlook. Instructors in the SPM program combine academic expertise with substantial industry experience, enriching the learning environment.

This program operates on a cohort model, where students collaborate in teams to conceptualize, develop, and launch a sports or outdoor product.

The curriculum encompasses the entire product lifecycle, featuring courses in branding, consumer behavior, human physiology, design innovation, product development, and practical labs for footwear and apparel, alongside sourcing, manufacturing, and market entry strategies.

The program emphasizes three core principles: global perspective, sustainability, and innovation, which are integrated throughout the coursework.
Position Overview
The Lundquist College of Business, specifically within the Sports Product Management Program, is actively seeking candidates for Pro Tem Instructor roles as opportunities arise. These positions are temporary appointments that may be renewed for a maximum of three years, with the potential for extension under specific circumstances related to program needs, funding availability, and performance evaluations. Pro Tem faculty will operate under the guidance of the Senior Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs and/or the relevant department head.

All appointments are contingent upon funding availability. Compensation will be determined based on qualifications and academic rank.

The LCB, Sports Product Management Program is interested in candidates with expertise in the following areas:
Sports Product Branding; Sports Product Design; Product Development; Supply Chain Management; and other relevant business disciplines.
Essential Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree in a pertinent field
A bachelor’s degree combined with significant professional experience may be considered in exceptional cases.
