Job Summary

CoreWeave is seeking a highly skilled and motivated legal professional to join our team as Associate General Counsel, Regulatory and Compliance. In this role, you will play a critical part in building an internal compliance program and ensuring the company's adherence to regulatory requirements and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with global, federal and state privacy and data protection laws, such as CCPA, CPRA and GDPR
  • Serve as the company's Data Protection Officer (DPO)
  • Regularly review and update internal and external policies concerning privacy and data protection
  • Assist with incident response and investigations
  • Support Company teams to ensure privacy, data protection and other regulatory compliance considerations are incorporated into product development, vendor management and contracting
  • Monitor and stay abreast of relevant global, federal and state laws and regulations affecting the cloud services industry and ensure company compliance with applicable regulatory frameworks
  • Develop corporate-wide global compliance policies and procedures to mitigate risks and ensure adherence to applicable laws
  • Proactively identify and communicate regulatory and compliance requirements in alignment with scaling into new markets
  • Advise and act as liaison for GRC and GTM teams on regulatory requirements and provide legal risk assessments on the applicability and effect of the regulatory requirements
  • Review the implementation of controls and policies for compliance with regulatory requirements and provide guidance on how to mitigate regulatory risks
  • Provide cross team coordination to build and maintain KYC programs
  • Oversee and manage implementation of regulatory contract obligations

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited U.S. law school and active Bar membership
  • Minimum of 5 years of legal experience with a focus on regulatory and compliance matters
  • In-depth knowledge of US and foreign privacy and data protection frameworks
  • Proficiency in export controls and sanctions regulations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
