About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join LifeSpan as an Educational Program Assistant - Special Education. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the implementation of effective educational programs for children with diverse needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Special Education Teachers to develop and implement individualized educational programs aligned with student needs and goals.
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive progress reports on student educational development, highlighting areas of strength and areas for improvement.
- Conduct educational diagnostic tests under the supervision of experienced professionals.
- Participate in regular meetings, conferences, and parent consultations to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Contribute to diagnostic evaluations and maintain accurate records of student progress.
- Support students in daily activities, including self-care, social skills, and recreational programs, to promote their overall well-being and development.
- Adhere to school policies and regulations, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Perform other duties as needed to support the success of our students and team.
Requirements:
- Baccalaureate Degree in Special Education or a related field is preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in caring for students with diverse needs, considering different developmental stages and cultural aspects.
- Previous experience working with children is advantageous, but not required.
