Position Overview

The Building People, LLC is seeking a qualified On-Site Engineer to deliver comprehensive technical engineering and architectural assistance along with complete project management for a diverse range of initiatives. This role encompasses all phases from initial concept development to the creation of detailed engineering designs and construction documents, ensuring readiness for contract procurement and ongoing technical administrative support until project completion and closeout.

Essential Experience & Skills

  • A minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience in managing and developing facility/site designs across electrical, mechanical, civil, and structural/architectural disciplines for both new constructions and renovations.
  • Conducting technical site evaluations and offering engineering solutions for design and construction challenges.
  • Creating biddable Statements of Work (SOWs).
  • Formulating Independent Government Estimates (IGE).
  • Providing technical guidance during the bidding process.
  • Assessing project submissions to ensure compliance with applicable standards, specifications, and technical codes.
  • Experience in agricultural research facilities and laboratories is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with government procurement processes and requirements is advantageous.

Educational Requirements

  • A degree from an ABET accredited engineering institution is required.
