Job Summary

Hoffman Construction is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer Intern to join our team. As a Project Engineer Intern, you will assist the project team in various areas, including coordination of site logistics, subcontractors, and field inspections. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry and develop your skills in project management, coordination, and communication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the coordination of site logistics, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Work closely with the project team to ensure timely completion of projects and high-quality results.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records and reports, including meeting minutes, schedule graphs, and activity checklists.
  • Communicate effectively with trade and craft people, as well as other stakeholders, to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Participate in field surveys and layout of control lines and benchmarks.
  • Use computer software to store and retrieve information, including Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and Bluebeam.
Requirements
  • Pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent degree.
  • Experience in organizing technical data in a neat and accurate method.
  • Familiarity with CSI specification system for construction.
  • Ability to work closely with trade and craft people in a field work situation.
  • Patience, professionalism, and ability to maintain a cooperative attitude under pressure.
  • Strong organizational and computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and Bluebeam.
  • Experience with critical path method scheduling software, such as Suretrack Project Manager and Primavera Project Planner (P6).
