Job Description

At HourlyWork, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Caregiver Associate to join our team. As a key member of our residential care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with Activities of Daily Living: Provide assistance with dressing, bathing, personal hygiene, and mobility devices to ensure our residents maintain their independence.
  • Medication Management: Assist residents with self-administration of medications, monitor medication supplies, and document as needed.
  • Observation and Reporting: Observe and report changes in residents' physical condition and cognitive/emotional status to the Wellness Director.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to emergency response system alarms and monitor for environmental safety hazards.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Record incidents, errors, or accidents, and report resident/staff incidents and errors to the Wellness Director.
  • Support with Dining and Activities: Assist with escorting residents to the dining room, serving meals, and participating in resident activity programs.
Working Conditions:
  • Exposure to Body Fluids and Chemicals: Work in an environment where you may be exposed to body fluids, infection, odors, and behavior of residents, as well as chemical/cleaning solutions.
Requirements:
  • Experience and Certification: Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a CNA/HHA and certification in good standing.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to read, write, and speak English, as well as think, act, and intervene independently in routine and emergency situations.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Ability to work flexible hours, participate in holiday activities, and live within 10 miles of Newton, MA.
