Community Resource Liaison

At the YOUNG MENS CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION OF ATTLEBORO, we are seeking a highly skilled Community Resource Coordinator to play a pivotal role in fostering collaboration, enhancing community resources, and promoting well-being in our community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Collaboration: Lead efforts to facilitate collaboration between non-profit organizations, businesses, and municipal entities to address community concerns and enhance services.
- Key Contributions to the Self-Sufficiency Coalition: The Community Resource Coordinator will bridge gaps between community entities, hosting regularly scheduled self-sufficiency meetings, promoting collaborative trainings, optimizing shared services, and coordinating grant sourcing to enhance the coalition's impact on social responsibility, mental health, and overall well-being.
- Connect Agencies and Individuals: Identify and establish connections between community agencies, individuals, and resources to address community needs and promote well-being.
- Strengthen Community Offerings: Evaluate existing community services and identify opportunities to enhance offerings by leveraging resources, minimizing duplication, and promoting collaboration.
- Lead Core Group Meetings: Organize and lead bi-monthly meetings of a core group consisting of business owners, leaders, and community contacts to discuss collaborative initiatives, shared services, and program offerings.
- Promote Collaborative Trainings: Coordinate collaborative training sessions and workshops aimed at enhancing community resources and addressing common concerns, with a focus on mental health and overall well-being.
- Explore Shared Services and Spaces: Identify opportunities for shared services and spaces among community organizations and businesses to optimize resource utilization and enhance service delivery.
- Facilitate Program Collaborations: Foster collaborations among community organizations to develop joint programs, initiatives, and events that promote community well-being and address emerging needs.
- Coordinate Collaborative Grant Sourcing: Collaborate with community partners to identify and pursue grant opportunities that support shared goals and initiatives, with a focus on mental health and well-being.
- Monitor and Evaluate Progress: Track progress and outcomes of collaborative efforts, gather feedback from stakeholders, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Communicate and Advocate: Serve as a liaison between community stakeholders, advocate for shared priorities, and communicate the impact of collaborative efforts to relevant stakeholders and the broader community.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as community development, social work, public administration, or related field.
- Proven experience in community development, collaboration facilitation, or related roles.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of community resources, social services, and municipal offerings.
- Experience in program development, grant writing, and project management.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of community work.
