Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs, ensuring a thorough understanding of their circumstances.
  • Provide individual and group counseling services to address a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, family dynamics, and peer relationships, promoting students' overall well-being.
  • Develop and implement intervention plans to support students' academic success and well-being, collaborating with teachers and administrators to create a supportive school environment.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with community resources and services, connecting students and families with relevant support networks.
  • Advocate for students' needs, ensuring they receive appropriate support and accommodations, and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to contribute to students' educational plans.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions and progress, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field, with a strong foundation in social-emotional learning and mental health practices.
  • State licensure or certification as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), demonstrating expertise in the field.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting, with a proven track record of success in promoting students' social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions.
