About the Role

This position requires an experienced UX Researcher who can drive operational excellence and think strategically about the employee experience at Amazon. The ideal candidate will have end-to-end experience with all aspects of research, including study design, moderation, analysis, and reporting. You will work collaboratively with designers, product managers, and developers to identify research opportunities and prioritize research questions based on analysis of current knowledge, project goals, and risks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct independent research on customer experiences.
  • Collect and analyze user behavior through CSAT surveys and benchmark studies.
  • Partner with UX and product teams to identify research opportunities and prioritize research questions based on analysis of current knowledge, project goals, and risks.
  • Consult on which user research methodology approaches work and which don't.
  • Work with Designers, Product Managers, and Engineers to prioritize and drive effective user experience research.
  • Understand and incorporate complex technical and business requirements into research.
  • Advocate research findings to diverse audiences through written reports and in-person presentation.
  • Use best practices to create long-term research roadmaps and opportunity frameworks that align to and inform business strategy and goals.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree in psychology, cognitive science, Human Centered Interaction (HCI), etc., along with 6+ years of experience gathering data from customers to inform design and business decisions as a user experience researcher, user experience designer, or similar role. A portfolio demonstrating past work experience and deliverables is also required.

Salary Information

The base pay for this position ranges from $137,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $226,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company, offering equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
