Job Summary:

The Automotive Mechanic Senior will work in a prototype environment, performing diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on cars and trucks. This role involves mentoring and overseeing team members to ensure Roush and customer standards are met.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain vehicle functional condition by conducting inspections and working off repair orders or leader instructions.
  • Repair mechanical and electrical system malfunctions and replace parts and components.
  • Train, coach, and mentor team members related to their job responsibilities and provide subject matter expertise to assist the team and customers.
  • Maintain vehicle records by entering notes, service, and repair orders.
  • Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, and performing preventive maintenance.
  • Lead daily shop organization and clean-up.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 8 years of work experience as a Mechanic.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certificate in Automotive Technology or related.
  • State Mechanic Certification(s).
  • Valid driver's license.

Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent knowledge of mechanical assembly and ability to operate shop equipment.
  • Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team and able to mentor and train others.
  • Has own tools with rolling toolbox.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and execute written procedures.
