Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join our team at Leggett & Platt Incorporated. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, prototyping, and validating product design solutions to meet customer and internal core team timing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Complete various engineering efforts to design, prototype, and validate product design solutions in support of customer and internal core team timing requirements.
- Maintain regular contact with team and systems integration engineering on technical issues.
- Actively participate in program core teams with proactive presentation of defined engineering deliverables defined in the APD portion of the C2P process.
- Develop engineered product solutions to meet customer needs by creative use of core part designs and technologies, ensuring compliance to MISRA and other regulatory standards.
- Establish and maintain adequate records of technical information, process methods/standards, design, and program details, and records to support/procure reliable patent actions.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Experience working with project launch cycles for automotive.
- Strong knowledge of C programming, model-based design, architectural design, engineering calculations, and analysis.
- Knowledge of automotive APQP terms.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and presentation skills.
- Experience coding with LIN, CAN, and UDS diagnostics.
- Knowledge with AUTOSAR software architecture and experience with related tools.
- Knowledge with ASPICE and ISO-26262 is an asset.
- Familiar with coding rules in C language for automotive applications.
- Familiar with software build, release process, and integration, validation process, and tools.

Preferred Qualifications

- 2 years of experience in an automotive embedded software product design role.
