Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist

About the Role:

We are seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team in the Pulmonary & Complex Care department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to our patients, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Apply knowledge of cardiopulmonary physiology and pathophysiology to assess and treat patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies.
  • Develop and implement effective care plans, patient-driven protocols, and disease-based clinical pathways to ensure best patient outcomes.
  • Provide respiratory care using a family-centered approach, assessing individualized patient cardiopulmonary needs and communicating them to the care team.
  • Embrace the interdisciplinary care model, participating in data collection or auditing, understanding quality improvement, and representing staff at relevant staff meetings.
Requirements:
  • Licensure: Registered Respiratory Therapist credentialed through the NBRC with licensure to practice in the State of Ohio by the Ohio Respiratory Care Board.
  • Education: Associate's degree from a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Care program.
  • Certifications: Must possess and maintain current CPR card, and obtain and maintain PALS certification.
  • Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills required in interactions with patients and parents, and hospital staff. Ability to work under general supervision.
