Your Role as an HRIS Implementation Manager:

In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Business Project Manager to oversee and coordinate the HRIS implementation within our Human Resources Department. You will engage with both internal and external teams, employing industry-standard tools and best practices. A critical aspect of this role will be to ensure that high-priority issues are escalated appropriately and that communication remains timely. Your contribution will be vital in delivering a project that meets or exceeds expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accountability across core and extended teams in collaboration with the Business Project Manager.
  • Coordinate all project-related activities effectively.
  • Establish a structured meeting schedule, communication plan, and working norms among teams.
  • Report and escalate issues as necessary to guarantee project success.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, internal teams, and stakeholders.
  • Co-facilitate and oversee weekly project status meetings.
  • Ensure timely completion of project tasks within budget and scope by coordinating efforts between internal teams and clients.
  • Synthesize stakeholder feedback, develop and manage project plans, and prepare agendas for senior leadership discussions.
  • Identify, document, and monitor project risks, actions, and issues.
  • Continuously review project dependencies and risks to ensure effective management across relevant stakeholder groups.
  • Create, maintain, and distribute comprehensive project documentation.
  • Identify objectives, scope, timing, and resources to achieve project goals.
  • Plan activities that will deliver desired outcomes and oversee daily operations while monitoring progress.
  • Collaborate with all teams to ensure successful transitions between testing, implementation, and support phases.
  • Lead status meetings to communicate objectives, plans, statuses, and results clearly.
  • Conduct project closeout activities, including identifying lessons learned and best practices to inform future projects.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Availability to work Monday through Friday – 7.25 hours per day.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 7 years of proven experience as a project manager in software development and/or information technology, preferably within the insurance sector.
  • CAPM or PMP certification is advantageous.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple project tracks simultaneously.
  • Experience with project management tools, such as SmartSheet.
  • Previous experience as a Business Analyst is highly preferred.
  • Strong communication, attention to detail, organizational, analytical, and team-building skills.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, customer service, presentation, influencing, and relationship management skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of business operations, particularly in the insurance market, is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to balance process compliance with achieving business objectives.
  • Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and/or web technology.
  • Knowledge of insurance business processes and HRIS software development/implementation is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with UKG.
  • HRIS Certifications (e.g., UKG Certification, SHRM-CP, PHR).
  • Experience in an insurance environment.
