Cardiac Technician

About the Role:
Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking a skilled Cardiac Technician to join our Interventional and Cardiovascular Center team. As a Cardiac Technician, you will play a vital role in aiding physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of heart, lung, and blood vessel disorders.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct invasive and non-invasive diagnostic tests of cardiovascular and pulmonary systems
- Maintain equipment and record test results
- Assist in the preparation and recovery of patients undergoing cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, and cardiac OR procedures
- Insert IVs, shave, prep, obtain EKGs, and collect specimens as needed
Requirements:
- High School Grad or Equivalent
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
- Preferred: 1-2 years of patient care experience, EKG Holter Monitor Hook-up experience, and Cardio graphic Tech Certificate (CCT)
