Job Overview

The Hospice of Darke County seeks a skilled and compassionate LPN Weekend Warrior to provide exceptional patient care after business hours.

About the Role:

  • Provide direct patient care through symptom management, emotional support, and timely response to patient and family needs.
  • Recognize and report changes in mental and/or physical status promptly to the registered nurse.
  • Explain hospice services and benefits, including Medicare, Medicaid, and Private Insurances.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an approved School of Nursing.
  • Current LPN licensure in the State of Ohio.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in Medical/Surgical, Oncology or community health nursing.
  • Hospice experience preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work independently without supervision.
  • Travel to other sites as needed.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs of supplies or equipment.
  • Requires various amounts of sitting, standing, twisting, turning, bending, lifting, and walking.

Salary Information:

$40,000 - $50,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
