Night Auditor

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Night Auditor to join our team at Residence Inn Portland/Scarborough. As a Night Auditor, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, ensuring accurate financial transactions, and maintaining the highest level of hospitality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Guest Service
- Provide attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests during check-in, throughout their stay, and at checkout.
- Answer inquiries from guests regarding restaurants, transportation, entertainment, and other services.
- Financial Transactions
- Follow all cash handling and credit policies.
- Be aware of all rates, packages, and special promotions.
- Process guest payments and handle any discrepancies.
- Hotel Operations
- Be familiar with all in-house groups and events.
- Be aware of closed-out and restricted dates.
- Obtain all necessary information when taking room reservations and follow the rate-quoting scenario.
- Communication
- Use proper two-way radio etiquette at all times when communicating with other employees.
- Be able to effectively communicate with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
- Education
- College coursework in a related field is helpful.
- Experience
- Experience in a hotel or a related field is preferred.
- Skills
- Computer experience is required.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
- Ability to show initiative and anticipate guest or operational needs.
