Job Title: Lead Mission Processing Systems Engineer

At RTX, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Mission Processing Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise in mission processing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and provide technical leadership to multi-site, multi-contractor teams
  • Provide technical knowledge and expertise on mission processing systems
  • Test and evaluate mission processing system capabilities
  • Oversee and provide technical support and training to personnel operating equipment necessary to capture, process, distribute, and archive data
  • Identify artifacts and anomalies; perform root cause analysis to mitigate anomalies and error message handling
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to provide and validate multi-mission processing solutions

Requirements:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 10 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience
  • Experience in executing assigned tasks
  • Experience in a collaborative environment with other engineering groups
  • Experience with mission processing with a focus on product definition and generation
  • An active and transferable TS/SCI CI Poly U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Commercial Cloud Services
  • Mission Processing Technical Leadership Experience
  • Knowledge of Unix and Linux functions
