Job Summary

Volt is seeking a highly skilled Medical Collections Specialist/Medical Billing Specialist to join our team in Livermore, CA. As a key member of our revenue cycle team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of medical claims, managing patient accounts, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and follow up on medical claims to meet company goals of account receivable days, aging account percentages, and cash goals.
  • Research and resolve patient responsibility balances and billing inquiries with courtesy and professionalism.
  • Collaborate with insurance companies, patients, and internal departments to ensure seamless communication and resolution of issues.
  • Utilize knowledge of Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), copays, coinsurance, deductibles, and denial codes to accurately process claims.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
  • 2-3 years of experience in medical billing and collections.
  • Knowledge of MS Office and intermediate level proficiency.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
