Job Overview: Henry Ford Health System seeks a skilled Intensive Unit Support Specialist to join its team in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU). This critical role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist registered nurses with various tasks related to patient care;
• Maintain accurate records and reports;
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care;
• Respond promptly to emergencies and participate in continuous learning opportunities;
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, regulatory requirements, and hospital policies.

Working Conditions:
The position demands physical stamina and excellent hand-eye coordination due to frequent lifting, bending, and prolonged standing. An individual must be comfortable wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and prioritizing infection control practices. Flexibility with scheduling is also necessary, as MICU shifts can be unpredictable.

Education Requirements:
A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required; certification in basic life support (BLS) is also essential. Experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in an intensive care unit, is beneficial for success in this role. Relevant certifications, such as CNA, are considered assets.

Estimated Salary Range: $42,000-$55,000 per year, depending on qualifications.
