Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Northwell Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing MRI procedures, ensuring patient safety, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform MRI procedures, including abdominal, thoracic, neurological exams, and extremities
  • Prepare patients for exams, including positioning and entering patient history data
  • Select and ensure proper radiofrequency and image coil usage
  • Administer intravenous (IV) and oral contrast agents as per Radiologist order
  • Verify patient safety and contraindications to IV contrast agent administration
  • Recognize and assist in treating contrast agent reactions and IV extravasations
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • New York State Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist with certification in IV contrast administration
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging R.T. (MR) (ARRT) certification within 18 months of entry date
  • Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS)
  • Prior radiology experience, with MRI experience preferred
Working Conditions

This is a varied shift position, with hours from 1pm-9:30pm. The salary range for this position is $67.03/hour.
