Department Overview:
The Community Tax Practice is an expanding division dedicated to serving smaller, less complex clients effectively, ensuring mutual benefits for both the firm and our clientele.

Your Responsibilities:
As a Senior Community Tax Consultant, your role will encompass:
1. Assisting with comprehensive annual tax compliance for both business and individual clients, including planning, scheduling, projections, extensions, and responses to tax inquiries.
2. Preparing and reviewing tax returns for various entities such as S-corporations, C-corporations, Partnerships, and individuals, ensuring accuracy and identifying potential tax savings and exposures.
3. Taking ownership of all assigned projects to guarantee timely client delivery and compliance with statutory filing deadlines.
4. Maintaining effective communication with clients to gather necessary information for tax return preparation.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A minimum of 2 years of recent tax experience, preferably in public accounting.
- A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- CPA or Enrolled Agent certification is preferred.
- Proficiency in S-corporation, C-corporation, Partnership, and Individual taxation is essential.
- Familiarity with Fiduciary, Estate and Gift, and Not-For-Profit tax returns is a plus but not mandatory.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities within an organization.
- Experience in routine accounting assistance is advantageous but not required.
- Candidates should either reside in or be willing to relocate to the Michigan area.

Work Flexibility:
This position offers flexible scheduling during peak periods, with opportunities for remote work for some required hours. There is also potential for reduced working hour arrangements.
